Objectives

Objective of WP1 is to provide the cultural heritage foundation of the project: assessment of archaeological and art requirements for neutron-based imaging.

Description of work

Task 1 (5) Identification of archaeological problems to be solved by imaging of artefacts. Selection of suitable types of archaeological artefacts. This is a milestone for WP1 (M1.1).

Task 2 (10) Preparation of simple artificial samples from similar materials that has been selected in Task 1 for imaging with known and unknown composition for the imaging partners. The later one is to test the reliability of the imaging.

Task 3 (15) Participate experiments performed with real archaeological samples.

Task 4 (6) Document the results based on imaging of real archaeological object (M1.2).
