Dear Colleague,

The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in collaboration with the CSIC Thematic Network on Cultural Heritage are pleased to announce the upcoming International Conference on Lasers in the Conservation of Artworks, "LACONA VII", which will be held at the main auditorium of CSIC in Madrid on September 17-21, 2007.

LACONA VII continues the tradition of previous LACONA conferences held in 1995 (Heraklion, Greece), 1997 (Liverpool, UK), 1999 (Florence, Italy), 2001 (Paris, France), 2003 (Osnabruek, Germany) and 2005 (Vienna, Austria). This unique event will gather scientists, conservator-restorers, companies, architects, decision-makers and other experts involved in conservation projects or in research of new laser equipment from around the world.

Invited lectures, contributing oral and poster papers, and panel discussion sessions are featured. A vendor session will also be scheduled in the program. Detailed information will be found in the Conference Web page www.lacona7.es
