EPISCON – Európai PhD (Science for Conservation)
The forthcoming session of the EPISCON project will be held between 28-29 May 2009 in the
Hungarian National Museum, Budapest.The PhD students involved in the program will give an account of their activities and present their results that will be evaluated by a committee composed of EPISCON project leaders as well as independent experts.

Venues
Lectures are organised in the Hungarian National Museum. You can reach the Museum best with underground (line 2 (red), get off at Astoria; line 3 (blue) get off at Kálvin tér. Attention! The museum's surroundings is blocked at several points due to METRO line 4. construction work. Travel by car is very difficult.
How to reach the Museum
- from the Airport: train (from Ferihegy 1, fastest)+ Metro 3 from Nyugati Station), from Ferihegy 2 (and from 1, if you prefer): bus number 200 till Kőbánya-Kispest (terminal station of Metro 3). You can also use airport shuttle or taxi. For public transport, you need pre-purchased tickets which can be obtained at many places, also at the Airport.

How to reach Conference Dinner
Conference dinner is organised at Trófea Grill restaurant, address: XIV. Erzsébet királyné útja 5. It can be reached best by Bus nr. 5 starting from Astoria in direction of Rákospalota (to the East) which has a stop right at the restaurant (name of the stop to get off: Erzsébet királyné útja, aluljáró)
Conference excursion - for EPISCON participants only!
The excursion is organised to Aquincum - Roman period capital of Pannonia and Szentendre, where we shall visit the Open Air Ethnographical Museum and the city of the scenic small tawn
